Information you give us directly includes your name, your employer and job title, a contact email address, a telephone number, a postal address, a permit reference, a site location and a description of the stormwater concern you raise. When you book a compliance walkthrough we may also record your preferred date, your site access details and the names of people authorised to accompany our team across the boundary.

Information from your use of the site includes the pages you view, the web browser and device you use, the approximate network region and the date and time of each visit. This is gathered in a way that cannot usually identify you as a person and is treated separately from any account data.

Information from field operations includes rainfall totals from gauges at a monitored site, sample identifiers, inspection notes, employee rosters supplied by the permit holder and control maintenance records. 4.How information is used

7.Monitoring station data

The rain gauges and weir stations at a monitored site record rainfall depth, the timing of a storm, water level in a channel and the occasion of a sample pull. This type of data belongs operationally to the permit holder and is used to demonstrate that sampling was performed on trigger and that controls were in place.

We keep personal identifiers separate from raw gauge readings wherever possible. Where a reading is linked to a person, for example the name of the technician who confirmed a control or pulled a sample, that link exists so the chain of custody and the inspection record remain credible and auditable.

Data from a specific client site is not pooled into industry statistics in a way that reveals a particular discharge, a particular permit or a particular operator without permission.

Marketing data that you no longer wish us to hold is removed on request. Technical logs are kept no longer than the useful window for security monitoring and are then discarded.

We may invite you to hear about new monitoring services, changes to the platform or relevant regulatory updates. These messages are sent only where you have said you would like them or where you are an existing client with a reasonable expectation of hearing about a related service.

Every marketing message carries a clear way to stop receiving further messages, usually an unsubscribe link that works with a single press. 12.Privacy for children

Stormwater samples and their custody records are sensitive to the permit holder and are managed with care equal to that given to personal data. A sample log can name a person who pulled the water or a person who certified the delivery to the laboratory.

We guard the custody chain with controlled access, clear labelling and a record of each hand that touches the sample, and we discharge or dispose of spent samples in line with the instructions of the laboratory and any regulation that governs the material. Sample results attributed to a person are treated as confidential site records.
